Chattahooche HS Athlete Signs With Wake Forest

Senior Grant Van Beveren has committed to playing basketball at the university.

JOHNS CREEK, GA — Chattahoochee High School's Grant Van Beveren has been accepted and is committed to play basketball at Wake Forest University. Wake Forest is a NCAA Division I school that competes in the ACC.

Van Beveren, a 3-year starter, was captain of the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. Grant won the Coaches Award for the 2017-18 season. Currently, Van Beveren is leading the team in double-doubles his senior year. Van Beveren played travel basketball with Red Storm and SBC.

Grant also visited Princeton, SMU and Florida Gulf Coast before committing to Wake Forest University. His twin brother, Gavin, is committed to play volleyball at Vassar College.
