The weekend construction is an attempt to make up for time lost due to inclement weather, the city of Johns Creek said on its Facebook page. Weather permitting, motorists should expect work to take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The city is adding 700 feet to a northbound, right-turn lane from Jones Bridge Road onto eastbound McGinnis Ferry Road.

Then, to allow motorists time to merge into the flow of traffic, the city is adding 1,000 feet of transition lane on McGinnis Ferry Road. The improvements should relieve considerable delays for motorists driving northeast on Jones Bridge Road through the intersection and for those turning right onto McGinnis Ferry Road.
