5 Things: A Night at the Museum, Steve Jobs Dies
Here are five things you should know before you leave the house today.

1. It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, as Mister Rogers would say. According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high around 80. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low near 51.
2. It's Mommy and Me time at the . Enjoy the preschool education program with your child from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursdays. In today's program, Night at the Museum, the kids will learn what museum workers do. The series is free with museum admission, and no reservations are required.
3. The Southern Museum is also gearing up for its annual Haunted Museum tour on Friday, Oct. 21, and Saturday, Oct. 22. This year's theme is Villains in History. In the Waxworks of Horror, you'll encounter some of history's creepiest villains, while a shocking surprise awaits in The Black Box at the end of the tour. The museum is also partnering with Kennesaw Parks and Recreation for a pumpkin trail to the museum lawn. The event will include story-telling, food vendors and a costume contest for children and dogs.

Pricing for the tour is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children (ages 10 to 12). It is not recommended for kids 9 and under. For advanced ticket sales, contact 770-427-2117 ext 3183, or e-mail ledge@kennesaw-ga.gov.
