A mother is facing charges after police say she left her three children alone in a car for an hour while she went into a Cobb County mall.
KENNESAW, GA — A mother is facing charges after police accused her of leaving three children alone in a car for an hour while she went into Town Center Mall.
Cobb County Police said they were called to the scene around 12:15 p.m. after being notified of unattended children left in a vehicle.
Officers responded after a man reported seeing a toddler walking around the mall parking lot, he told WAGA-TV. The child reportedly sat on the curb and cried at one point.

The man told reporters the child's brother picked her up and took her back to the car.
When officers arrived, police said they found three children who were ages 2, 5 and 7 in the parked car without adult supervision.

The mother and another child went into Town Center, leaving the three children in the car for about an hour, police said.
The car was not running at the time, police said.
Officers arrested mom Angela Weichmann, 42, of Blairsville on three counts of reckless conduct, police said.
The children were taken to a police precinct until a family member was able to retrieve them, police said.
