I can still remember the smell of the dark room and seeing my prints come to life. The passion to find and create beauty had been planted like a seed in my heart and it has been growing ever since. My first camera was a film camera but for my high school graduation present, I was given a digital Fujifilm Finepix camera. It was love at first click.
My name is Katharine and I am a creative artist. That means I don't always think systematically, I hate math, and I can memorize a photograph quicker than a paragraph.
I am so thrilled that you are checking out Capturing Hope Photography. Obviously I love photography so I want to share some more personal things about me. (Writing an about me page is harder than you think. It's weird to write about yourself!) I am a pretty shy person and tend to blush quite easily for no real reason at all. Besides photographing people, I love to photograph nature. Being outdoors is therapeutic and relaxing for me. Living in north Georgia, I take full advantage of being close to the mountains.

This picture below is one of my favorite pictures ever. It is a memory I will cherish forever. This is me with my husband, Ryan, who also happens to be my high-school sweetheart! I love him deeply and he is my biggest supporter! I could not do this crazy journey of life without him.
