Acworth Art Fest Returns in April: News Near Kennesaw

The festival will showcase regional artists, and a Kennesaw art teacher will be helping the kiddos create their own masterpieces.

Historic Acworth is thrilled to host the fourth annual Acworth Art Fest on its charming Main Street in the heart of the popular downtown district on April 11 and 12. More than 100 whimsical and colorful artisans will line the picturesque street with their creative artwork and imaginative displays. The Art Fest hours are Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Visitors and shoppers will be wowed by the community spirit and pride of this enchanting “Lake City.”

Splash Festivals Inc., who produces Dunwoody Art Festival, Norcross Art Fest and Johns Creek Arts Festival is partnering once again with the City of Acworth on this “magical spring event.” Co-owners, Frances Schube and Cindy Flynn, are excited to have the opportunity to create the yearly celebration of the arts for the enthusiastic staff, volunteers, neighbors and friends.

The most talented and entertaining artists from around the region have been invited to showcase their paintings, folk art, photography, pottery, yard art, jewelry, metal sculpture and so much more. That meansthere’s something for everyone, and Acworth will certainly glow with this great group of artisans. Shoppers will be wowed by whimsy, vibrant pieces and original works!

The weekend happenings include an enchanting Kidz Zone with art surprises and projects headed up by Meryl Manfre of The Art Station – Big Shanty in Kennesaw. Live entertainment will add energy and melodic sounds to the hopping art show. Delectable treats and yummy snacks will be served at the Art Fest Food Court – a popular place to hang out for hungry festivalgoers.
