Alleged Drunk Driving Mom Left Baby in Unsecured Car Seat
An arrest warrant claims that the baby's head was next to a shovel; police believe the baby could have been seriously hurt or killed.

Cobb County police say that a mother who was arrested for driving drunk last week could have killed her baby had she gotten into an accident, according to an arrest warrant.
Brittany Nicole Kersey, of Marietta, was arrested on Wednesday night by police after she fell out of her car, was unable to speak clearly, and had to be assisted with walking, the warrant obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution states. Kersey shouted obscenities at officers as she was arrested, according to the warrant.
Also in the car were Kersey’s, two children, a 7-year-old girl and a baby. The warrant reports that the baby was in an unsecured car seat meant for a 6-year-old. The baby’s head was next to a shovel, the warrant says; if Kersey had gotten into an accident, the baby could have been seriously hurt or even killed.
