Big Shanty Festival Road Closures Announced

Kennesaw motorists will need to be aware of road closures caused by the rapidly-approaching Big Shanty Festival.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Cherokee Street between Big Shanty Drive and Main Street, Watts Drive from Dallas to Main streets, J.O. Stephenson Avenue between Main and Dallas streets, and Lewis Street between Dallas and Main streets will be closed from 6 p.m. on April 17 to 8 p.m. on April 19 for the festival.

Further closures include Main Street from Moon Station Road to Summers Street (6 p.m. April 18 - 8 p.m. April 19) and all of Park Drive, Main Street from Park Drive to Moon Station Road, and all of Cemetery Street during the festival parade (9:30 - 10:30 a.m., April 18), the AJC reports.
