Black Friday Blood Drives: Mall of Georgia and Town Center at Cobb team up with American Red Cross to host blood drives Nove

WHAT: Give a meaningful gift this season and donate blood!

Mall of Georgia and Town Center at Cobb will open their doors to the community as host sites for American Red Cross Blood Drives during the kick-off to the holiday shopping season on Black Friday weekend. Supporters who come out and donate blood November 27 – 29 will receive an American Red Cross mixing spoon and celebrity chef recipes to help make their holiday meals special!

Why get involved? Take a look at the following statistics courtesy of the American Red Cross:

· Donors are needed in the weeks leading up to the holidays to help prevent a seasonal decline.

· Five million people patients in the U.S. need blood every year.

· Just one pint of blood can help save up to three lives!

· Type O negative is the universal blood type.

· Type AB donors have the universal plasma type, which can be given to patients of all blood types. There is a constant, often critical, need for type AB plasma.
