Cobb Man Convicted of 2011 Shooting
The shooting was the result of an argument when the victim failed to hold the door open for the defendant, prosecutors said.

A Cobb County man has been convicted of shooting another man in the foot during an argument at an apartment complex in 2011, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office said.
Theodore Stroud Jr., 59, faces up to 25 years in prison and a fine up to $200,000 following his conviction on charges of aggravated assault and firearms-possession charges. He will be sentenced at a later date.
On June 3, 2011, Stroud began arguing with another man at their Akers Mill apartment complex after the victim neglected to hold a door open for Stroud. Stroud, “frustrated by the deterioration of his neighborhood in the last few years,” then shot the man in the foot, prosecutors said.
