Cobb Police Investigate Alleged Threat Against Service Member

A note referring to the victim's service in the armed forces was found on the vehicle, police said.

Cobb County police are attempting to learn who left an allegedly threatening note on a vehicle owned by a service member on Monday.

Spokeswoman Alicia Chilton said that a note was found on the vehicle parked at an office complex off near Powers Ferry Road. Investigators said that the note ”included threats of harm and referenced the victim’s affiliation to his military service.”

The victim may have been targeted due to his license plate, which clearly identified him as a service member.
