Cobb Police Investigate Bank Robbery

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Wednesday incident.

Cobb County police are searching for a man they say robbed a Marietta bank on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the suspect walked into the Regions Bank at 2048 Macland Crossing Circle at 9:01 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. Once the suspect had his loot, he reportedly fled the area in a burgundy Kia. The Kia was last seen turning eastbound onto Macland Road.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, standing 6’ tall with a thin build. The male was described as being in his mid 20’s. He was last seen wearing a blue and black jacket, a Boston Red Sox ballcap and orange athletic shoes. He indicated that he was armed with a weapon.
