Cobb Police Investigate Kennesaw Bank Robbery

The suspect acted as though he possessed a handgun, police said.

Cobb County police are looking for the man they say robbed a bank in Kennesaw on Monday afternoon.

According to spokesman Dana Pierce, the man walked into the Fifth Third Bank located inside the Kroger at 3895 Cherokee St. at 1 p.m. and handed the teller on duty a note demanding cash. Pierce said that the suspect acted like he was holding a handgun. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled towards the back of the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40-50 years of age. He was last seen wearing glasses, a dark colored ball cap and a blue stripe shirt.
