Continuing Ed Scholarship Applications Open at KSU
Last year, more than 50 students received more than $75,000 to further their professional careers through certification courses.

KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education is now accepting scholarships for professional certificate programs. In 2014, more than 50 students applied for professional certificate-based scholarships – the most in the history of the College – and students received more than $75,000 to achieve their educational goals. Jana Jenkins won a 2014 scholarship for Project Management, and she said, “I know getting this certification will further my career, opening up opportunities for positions I may not have been qualified for. Offering scholarships for these types of classes allows seasoned professionals to continue their education and be productive in the workforce.”
Barbara S. Calhoun, dean, said, “The greatest gift anyone can ever give is the gift of education. It opens doors to opportunity which paves the way to more opportunities.”
Scholarship-eligible programs include Paralegal, Gerontology, Culinary, Medical Assisting, Certified Nursing Assistant, Project Management, Human Resources, Management, Real Estate Property Management,Meeting & Event Management, and Information Systems Security.
