A Kennesaw dog is a little worse for the wear but is expected to survive a coyote attack which occurred earlier this week, though his humans are more concerned than ever about their unwanted neighbors.

According to WSB-TV, 8-year-old Roscoe was outside playing with Ethan Wall and the rest of his human family at a creek near their home close to the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield National Park when a coyote got into a fight with Roscoe, his canine cousin. Roscoe received wounds on 8 parts of his body. Roscoe needed stitches and a “cone of shame,” but the tough pup should recover.
Wall told WSB-TV that his two small children were nearby when the attack occurred, and is now wary of living so close to wild animals. Wall and his neighbors are hoping that the coyotes can be relocated further away from humans.
