KSU's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to Host Fall Social on Oct. 24

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education is set to host its fall “Sock-Hop” social on Monday, October 24 from 6 to 9 p.m at the KSU Center. Guests will have the opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and pose for a picture or two before dining and dancing to the tunes of The Sock Hops. The Marietta band, known as Atlanta's premier oldies entertainment group, specializes in four-part harmonies of popular favorites from the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s.
“OLLI has been a continuous program of knowledge and excellence for a vibrant learning community,” said Continuing Education Dean Barbara Calhoun. “Those attending our socials have the opportunity to make new friends and strengthen existing relationships while they engage in activities they enjoy with others who share similar interests.”
OLLI offers an impressive selection of educational and social opportunities for adults age 50 and older. Classes are offered year round in the areas of technology, art and music, finance, fitness, leisure and more. There are no tests, grades or exams – just a chance to dive into learning.
