Help Wanted: Medical Assistant

WellStar Medical Group is hiring a medical assistant:

• Qualifications: High school diploma; graduate from a Medical Assistant program preferred or 2-3 years experience in a Physician’s office, Medical Assistant certification preferred; work experience in a practice setting preferred; computer experience required; current BCLS certification; must be organized and attentive to detail; must be able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction; must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language. 

• Job responsibilities: Escort patient to exam room in a timely manner, and obtain history/chief complaint, vital signs, weight and documents; prepare patient and assist provider with examination and procedures; assist with patient education; call in prescriptions as directed by provider; receive, organize, count and record all stock and sample medication; assure that all quality control measures are completed and documented on appropriate logs; clean rooms and equipment, stock appropriately and submit orders for supplies as needed.
