Through a $1 million gift to the University, longtime KSU friend and benefactor Michael
J. Coles and his wife, Donna, are working to help our veterans with the Michael J.
and Donna N. Coles Veterans Scholarship Endowment Fund. This gift will help lessen
the financial burden for veterans who have exhausted their GI Bill benefits before
completing their degrees.
Kennesaw State has been a longtime supporter of veterans, and it is an honor to have
more than1,400 students at the University who are veterans, service members and their
dependents.

Our Military and Veteran Services office is staffed by experienced veterans and offers
resources that empower our military community with the tools necessary for accomplishing
their academic goals. The team provides service members, veterans, and dependents
with transition assistance, academic advising, benefit analysis/counseling, career
planning assistance, outreach programs, and student veteran advocacy.
The gift is the latest step in a long partnership between KSU and the Coles family,
who have been significant supporters of KSU over the years, including transformational
contributions to the Michael J. Coles College of Business.
Through their generous gift, Michael and Donna Coles are helping elevate KSU's efforts
to support the men and women who serve our country. We are fortunate for their kind
generosity that will ensure that veterans will continue to have opportunities to succeed
at KSU.
