Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home Friday evening in the South Fork subdivision, which is located off Bells Ferry Road south of Towne Lake Parkway.
Once they arrived onto the scene, James Reed, 30, of Woodstock told authorities an acquaintance of his, Woodstock resident Gordon Joiner, 22, and a man later identified as Forest Holt, 24, of Kennesaw, came to his girlfriend’s home.

Soon after they entered the house, Reed said both Holt and Joiner “robbed him at gunpoint after bounding his hands behind his back,” sheriff’s office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said in a press release.
Reed said the men took electronics, cash and a firearm from his safe. Reed told deputies Joiner reportedly lived on Etowah Valley Lane, which is off Putnam Ford Drive south of Eagle Drive.
Deputies responded to Etowah Valley Lane, and Joiner and Holt arrived on the scene moments later.
Deputies located electronics, about $1,500 cash and a firearm believed to be taken from the South Fork home in the vehicle driven by Holt, Baker stated.
Deputies also located roughly 1 pound of marijuana and 1 ounce of hash oil in the vehicle. It was later discovered the drugs were also taken from the South Fork home, Baker added.
Agents with the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (CMANS) secured a search warrant for the South Fork home, which is owned by Angelica Orr, 25, of Woodstock. Baker stated agents discovered items used to manufacture hash oil and a “small amount of marijuana” inside the house.
Reed and Orr were arrested and charged with manufacturing hash (Schedule 1), possession of hash (Schedule 1) and felony possession of marijuana. They both remain in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center without bond.
Holt was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of hash with intent to distribute, false imprisonment and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Joiner was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of hash with intent to distribute, false imprisonment and violation of probation.
They also both remain in custody at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center without bond.
