Corley said he and other sailors are proud to be serving at a command that readily defends America at at all times.
“I like the diversity of this command,” said Corley. “I like the fact that we can work hand-in hand with civilians to help assess potential job opportunities. We come together to reach a common goal.”
With more than 800 employees assigned to the host naval air station staff, the civilian and military “Pax Pros” work hard to ensure the continued security, safety and first-class services are provided to all 20,000+ employees working aboard the installation, according to Navy officials.
Serving in the Navy, Corley is learning about being more of a leader through handling numerous responsibilities.
"I grew the most when in Afghanistan,” said Corley. “I was able see the world differently and gained more wisdom. I have learned to rely on other people and have gained a ton of respect from higher ups who give you motivation to improve.”
