Dr. Tashawna Stokes and her husband Dr. Oscar Stokes operated the Innovative Pain Management Center, which was raided last year by the DEA on suspicions that the business was not properly distributing powerful painkillers.

Investigators believe the Stokes distributed medicine like oxycodone without giving proper exams to patients, then charged their patients hundreds of dollars for the visit; WSB-TV reported last August that Oscar Stokes allegedly wrote up to 72 prescriptions a day and charged $500 for a doctor visit, netting him a million dollars a month.

The Stokes were indicted by a federal grand jury on July 7. Tashawna Stokes currently works at Kennesaw Pediatrics, located at 3745 Cherokee St.
