Kennesaw Police Chaplain Passes Away
Services for Deacon Richard Conti will be held on Thursday and Friday.
The Kennesaw Police Department has announced the passing of one of its police chaplains.
Deacon Richard ”Dick” Conti passed away on Feb. 28. He was 77 years old. Conti spent many years as a deacon at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and could also be found working at Publix. Conti also volunteered his time to assist the Kennesaw Police Department.
“A great man who served his community well! He will be greatly missed,” the department wrote on its Facebook page.

Conti’s wake will be on Thursday from 4-9 p.m., with a Rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass for Conti will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. All services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena.
