KSU Seeks Instructors for Medical Interpreter Certificate Program

The ten-week program begins in the fall of 2016

The College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University is looking for exceptional talent to join its growing team. The College is seeking instructors for its Medical Interpreter Certificate Program beginning in the fall of 2016.

The Medical Interpreter Certificate is a ten-week program that includes theory and hands-on instruction. In this class, students will learn and identify human anatomy in English and Spanish, translate medical documents from English to Spanish, communicate common medical terminology in written and verbal formats and understand the code of ethics and the roles of a Medical Interpreter.

The ideal instructor for this position must hold a current Medical Interpreter Certification by The National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters. Applicants should have practiced their profession in Georgia for a minimum of 3 years in a healthcare setting. Additionally, a Bachelor’s degree in any area related to science or human services from an accredited institution is required. Candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and English with a high level of proficiency.
