KENNESAW, Ga.
(Nov 25, 2020)
— Following the success of its first virtual showcase in April, Kennesaw State University’s
Symposium of Student Scholars will return in December for its first fall semester edition.

A half-day, university-wide conference hosted by Kennesaw State’s Office of Undergraduate Research, the Symposium of Student Scholars serves as an opportunity for undergraduate and
graduate researchers to present projects conducted within the past academic year.
It is open to all students and has previously included new works from authors, innovative
business models from entrepreneurs and a wide variety of scientific research papers.
Beginning next month, the symposium will be held every fall and spring semester.

The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on December 3 via Microsoft Teams.
There will be nearly 100 sessions – each 15 minutes in length. Presenters will be
assigned unique access codes and timeslots for their virtual presentations that will
take place in different “rooms.” The symposium is also publicly accessible, allowing
visitors and attendees from high schools and other universities to use access codes
found on the Office of Undergraduate Research website to join presentations.

At the conclusion of the event, students will be awarded prizes for the top undergraduate
and graduate presentations.
