Man Accused of Setting Ex on Fire to Stand Trial

The AJC reports that Morgan Yarbrough, 25, accused his girlfriend of infidelity before setting her on fire at a Kennesaw gas station.

Cobb County police testified Friday during a probable cause hearing in Cobb County Superior Court that the man at a Kennesaw gas station was upset she was having dinner and drinks without him, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.

Police said 25-year-old Morgan Yarbrough of Powder Springs accused then-girlfriend Rachel Brokaw of infidelity before dousing her with gasoline while she sat inside her car at the BP gas station at 575 Barrett Parkway during the early morning of May 11.

Cobb police detective Kenneth Kromer described footage from a surveillance camera while on the stand.

"When the flame ignited, he (Yarbrough) can be seen walking, it appeared to be very calmly, back to his car to continue pumping gas," said Kromer.

Brokaw, a 29-year-old Cobb County school teacher, suffered second- and third-degree burns from her waist to above her nose, according to the AJC.
