Man Dies, Kennesaw Woman Injured in Crash
A Cartersville man has died from injuries suffered in a crash in Powder Springs earlier this month.

Jimmy Adam Thomason, 43, of Cartersville, died Tuesday from injuries he suffered in a March 6 single-vehicle crash near Powder Springs.
Thomason was driving a brown 1978 Ford truck northbound on Midway Road approaching Old Midway Road just after 2 p.m. when the truck missed a curve, ran off the road and collided head on with a tree, Cobb police Officer Joseph Hernandez said.
The front-seat passenger in the truck, Anna Maria Antigua, 44, of Kennesaw, was injured in the crash, Hernandez said. She was hospitalized initially for those injuries, including a fractured pelvis.

"Neither occupant was wearing their seat belt, and alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in this crash," Hernandez said.
Visitation for Thomason is from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Home, 4947 North Main Street, Acworth. The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery, 4355 Highway 92, Acworth.
