Middle Schooler Hit by Car in Kennesaw
The student was attempting to cross the road in front of a stopped school bus when a car in a turn lane struck him.

A Palmer Middle School student is recovering after he was hit by a car while trying to cross a busy road to get to school Wednesday morning.
The 12-year-old student was attempting to cross Shiloh Road in front of a stopped school bus when a Hyundai came pulled in to the turn lane in an attempt to cut traffic and hit him, police told WSB-TV. The Hyundai was driven by a Palmer Middle School teacher, police said. She was cited for entering the turn lane too early.
The student suffered a broken arm in the collision, 11 Alive News says.

Cobb County police have promised to increase their presence in the area, and CCSD Transportation Director Rick Grisham told 11 Alive that the bus that regularly travels along Shiloh Road will receive a stop arm camera to help find more drivers who use the center turn lane to avoid traffic jams.
