Missing Woman Found Dead in Wreck

Nancy Pension, 43, never made it to work in Kennesaw after dropping her child off at school Thursday morning.

A Rome woman who went missing Thursday sometime between dropping her child off at school and heading to work in Kennesaw was found dead Saturday morning, reported the Rome News-Tribune.

Nancy Pension, 43, was found in a wreck off the embankment of U.S. Highway 411 in Bartow County, reported the News-Tribune.

Bartow County deputy coroner Brandon Duncan said Pension was found dead at the scene of the wreck.

Pension and her 1998 red Kia Sportage had not been seen since she dropped her child off at Unity Christian School on Ga. 53 Thursday morning. She never made it to her job in Kennesaw. Rome Police issued a missing person alert on Friday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation.
