Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue - 9th Annual "Flea" Market!

Traditionally one of the organization’s biggest fundraising events of the year, this year’s “flea” market promises to break all the records. It starts with the premier location - a 6,200 square foot retail space across from Town Center Mall.

Starting Wednesday, March 1, your donations can be dropped off at 2700 Town Center Drive, Suite 124. Accepted items include (but are not limited to): Furniture, collectibles, antiques, jewelry, art, pet supplies, handbags, accessories, books, small appliances in good working order, toys, baby clothes, storage/organizational items, video games and seasonal home décor. The event will also include a pet food drive to benefit Pet Buddies Food Pantry (unexpired and unopened cat and dog food requested). They are unable to accept computers, televisions, major appliances, large electronics, mattresses, cribs, clothing (except baby clothes) and car seats. Please do not bring your donated items to the shelter.

“We hope the community will respond by donating their unwanted sellable items to us for this event,” said Tammy Turley, Executive Director. “We recently rescued 20 dogs from a hoarding situation in Alabama, and the more money we raise, the more homeless animals we can save.”

The Mostly Mutts “Flea” Market will take place at 2700 Town Center Drive, Suite 124 (same shopping center as Longhorn Steak House). Drop off dates are March 1-8 and sale dates are March 9-30 (except Sundays). Items can also be dropped off during sale days. For exact times please check the website: www.mostlymutts.org. Mostly Mutts strives to reduce the number of animals euthanized at local shelters in Metro Atlanta by working with animal control officers to save adoptable dogs that are moments away from being put to sleep. Often, these dogs are sick, injured and require rehabilitation. Mostly Mutts provides housing, health care, training, and physical and emotional care to these rescued animals until they can be placed in a new “furever home.” Since 2004, Mostly Mutts has saved approximately 6,500 animals.

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, licensed by the Dept. of Agriculture and staffed by volunteers. It is privately funded through donations and adoption fees.
