Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue is on target to save a record number of animals in 2016

It has been a great year for Mostly Mutts animal rescue so far, and we hope you can join us at our 3rd Annual Casino Night at Park Tavern!

It has been a great year so far for Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue. In February, the organization moved to a state of the art shelter in downtown Kennesaw. The new location has helped attract community support and the increased visibility has been instrumental in recruiting new volunteers, foster families and adopters. In just a year’s time, Mostly Mutts has gained 3,000 new Facebook followers. Two very successful fundraisers were held in September, the “Operation For The Love Of Dog” bike ride on the Silver Comet Trail and the first Atlanta “Strut Your Mutt Festival” by Best Friends Animal Society.

Mostly Mutts now invites you to join its biggest fundraiser of the year - “3nd ANNUAL CASINO NIGHT AT PARK TAVERN” - on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 pm. Your donation of $125 includes open bar, full buffet, raffle tickets and “casino funny money” to play Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, and Texas Hold em'. Many amazing raffle prizes and silent auction items have been donated, including a Photo Safari to Africa for two people and autographed sports memorabilia. Tickets are limited and have to be purchased in advance through our website: https://mostlymutts.org/casino-night/casino-night-registration . This is also a great opportunity for sponsorships, see website for details.

“We hope to see you at Casino Night, an event that just keeps getting better each year” said Tammy Turley, Executive Director. “We are truly grateful for all the support we have received in 2016, from both companies and individuals, and I want to especially thank our incredible volunteers and foster families – their dedication and hard work is the cornerstone of our organization. If you are interested in joining the Mostly Mutts family as a volunteer or foster family, we would love to hear from you!”

Mostly Mutts strives to reduce the number of animals euthanized at local shelters in Metro Atlanta by working with animal control officers to save adoptable dogs that are moments away from being put to sleep. Often, these dogs are sick, injured and require rehabilitation. Mostly Mutts provides housing, health care, training, and physical and emotional care to these rescued animals until they can be placed in a new “furever home.” Since 2004, Mostly Mutts has saved approximately 6,000 animals.

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, licensed by the Dept. of Agriculture and staffed by volunteers. It is privately funded through donations and adoption fees.
