Mostly Mutts Receives Grant from Cobb EMC Community Foundation

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue applied for a grant from the Cobb EMC Community Foundation and is excited to announce it received a $2,000 grant

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue applied for a grant from the Cobb EMC Community Foundation earlier this year and is excited to announce it received a $2,000 grant. A representative from the Foundation toured the Mostly Mutts shelter in Kennesaw and was favorably impressed with the work Mostly Mutts is doing to save animals from being euthanized.

“Receiving this grant from the Cobb EMC Community Foundation really validates the work that we do every day” said Tammy Turley, Executive Director. “We hope to receive other grants that have been applied for, however, recurring donations from individual supporters are still the cornerstone of our rescue operation. We are very grateful to each and every one of our donors.”

Mostly Mutts is currently participating in a national fundraiser hosted by Best Friends Animal Society called Strut Your Mutt. It is the first year this event is taking place in Atlanta, together with other cities across the United States. You can sign up to join the Mostly Mutts team and participate in the fun-filled dog walk and festival in Atlanta on September 24, 2016. The link to the Mostly Mutts team page is:

Mostly Mutts strives to reduce the number of animals euthanized at local shelters in Metro Atlanta by working with animal control officers to save adoptable dogs that are moments away from being put to sleep. Often, these dogs are sick, injured and require rehabilitation. Mostly Mutts provides housing, health care, training, and physical and emotional care to these rescued animals until they can be placed in a new “furever home.” Since 2004, Mostly Mutts has saved approximately 5,500 animals.
