Health inspection scores for Cobb County restaurants and other food services from August 21 to August 27 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Several Kennesaw spots, including Dunkin' on Bells Ferry Road, Zaxby's on Stilesboro Road, Pruitt Place, and Nicky's Undefeated, all received recent health inspection scores ranging from low 90s to perfect 100s. This countywide report lets you quickly check how your usual Kennesaw restaurants and nearby school or care facilities are doing on food safety before your next visit. 
2. West Cobb Regional Library features art events as Fall approaches (cobbcountycourier.com) — West Cobb Regional Library on Dennis Kemp Lane in Kennesaw has a full slate of kid-friendly art and storytime programs running through September, including a special Art Week celebration on the 17th. Families can plan ahead for Homeschool Curiosity & Creativity, Bubble Art, craft club, book groups, and gaming sessions, all happening locally and free to access with the library's regular hours.
3. Cross Country programs rounding into form ahead of Cobb County meet (ledger-enquirer.com) — Kennesaw Mountain's cross country team placed 14th as Cobb County programs tune up for the county championships on September 12 at Allatoona Creek Park. Marietta, Harrison, Pope, and several other local schools posted strong results at recent invitationals, and coaches are weighing whether to race at the county meet or on the state championship course in Carrollton.
4. Partnerships That Build Progress: Cobb County CIDs (georgiatrend.com) — Major transportation and trail projects in Cobb County are reshaping how people move around the Town Center area, including access to Kennesaw State University and nearby destinations. New roads, trail connections, and future pedestrian bridges aim to ease congestion, boost walkability, and strengthen links to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and other key spots residents use every day.
5. September 2026 MPA Student of the Month: Beatrice Shakal (uga.edu) — A Kennesaw resident, Beatrice Torralba Shakal, is honored as the University of Georgia MPA Student of the Month while juggling graduate studies, nonprofit leadership, and family life. She lives in Kennesaw with her husband and two sons and serves at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, where she leads the Respect Life Ministry and community-focused initiatives.
