Police: DUI suspect tried to bite, kick officer during Kennesaw arrest (ledger-enquirer.com) — A Marietta woman was arrested in Kennesaw after police say she drove drunk near Cobb Parkway and Ellison Lakes Drive, nearly hitting a motorcycle and showing signs of impairment. Kennesaw officers report she had open containers, no valid license, and a defective brake light. She allegedly tried to bite and kick an officer before being booked and later released on bond.

The Kiwanis Club of Marietta, local volunteers, and sponsors helped raise funds for the all-new flags. The display remains up through Sept. 19, with a memorial service scheduled for 7:45 a.m. next Friday.
