Police Arrest Suspect in Couple's Killing

Police in Powder Springs say they’ve arrested a suspect in the murder of a couple who were found shot inside a car last Thursday.

Anthony and Caroline Costner of Lithia Springs died on Aug. 6 after suffering gunshot wounds; Anthony was pronounced dead on the scene, while Caroline died later at a local hospital. Their daughter, a toddler, was unharmed and is now in state care. Family tells WSB-TV the Costners were on their way to help a friend when they were shot.

Police are not releasing the suspect’s name, nor are they elaborating on how they made the arrest. The investigation is very active and few details are being released to protect its integrity, police told WSB-TV.
