Police Investigating Kennesaw Armed Robbery

Cobb County police are asking for the public’s help to find the man who held up a Kennesaw motel on Monday morning.

According to department spokesman Dana Pierce, someone walked into the Red Roof Inn at 520 Roberts Court at 1:02 a.m. and pointed a gun at the clerk, demanding money. The robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk described the robber as a male standing about 6’ and weighing 170-180 lbs. The man was wearing a mask and gloves, so the clerk could not determine his race or any other physical characteristics. He was last seen wearing jeans, a shirt, and the mask and gloves.

Investigators are working to obtain surveillance camera footage of the robbery, Pierce said.
