Police Searching for Kennesaw Bank Robber

KENNESAW, GA -- Cobb County police are investigating a robbery that happened on Saturday at the SunTrust Bank inside a Publix grocery store.

“Within moments of entering the bank, the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money,” police said. “After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the perpetrator fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.”

No information on a getaway vehicle.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10” tall and 140 pounds with a small to medium build. He is described as being in his 40’s with what appeared to be white or gray facial hair. Witnesses also said that he was wearing a black jacket, a black baseball hat, cargo pants and a white or gray sweatshirt.
