Shots Fired in Kennesaw Parking Lot

Cobb County police are searching for two vehicles that were involved in an apparent exchange of gunfire outside of club in Kennesaw Friday afternoon.

An off-duty officer was leaving his personal workout at the Wade Green Road gym when he witnessed what appeared to be an exchange of gunfire between a gold Lexus and a silver Mercedes in the parking lot of the shopping center, Sgt. Dana Pierce of the Cobb County police told Kennesaw Patch.

It is unclear how many people were involved in the incident, said Pierce.

Police are currently canvassing the area in search of both vehicles, which fled the scene, said Pierce, noting that the windows of the Mercedes were knocked out or shattered.

Investigators are also checking area hospitals for gunshot victims but have not found anyone as of yet, said Pierce.
