Santa's Arrival Brings Street Closures

Santa is coming to town this Saturday, Dec. 3, and have been charged with providing "executive protection" for the big man in red.

Saturday's kicks off with a parade at 1 p.m. followed by a number of activities in the downtown Kennesaw area, including a petting zoo, snow playground and tree lighting ceremony. The city will also host the at 4:30 p.m.

According to a video announcement from Sgt. Brice Barth of the , the following streets will be closed for Saturday's festivities.

From 12:45 to 2:30 p.m., the downtown business district along Main Street will be closed. This includes:

• Main at Lewis, Main at Dallas, Main at Moon Station, Main at J.O Stephenson, Main at Watts and Main at Summers Street.
• Also closed—Big Shanty at Sardis, Cherokee at Big Shanty and Shirley Drive at the rear of the .   

Following the parade, the following streets will be closed until 7 p.m.:

• Main from Lewis to Watts.
• Cherokee from Big Shanty to Main.
