Weekend Roadwork Set for I-75, I-575

Check out this list of construction projects before heading out this weekend.

Here's what the Georgia DOT is planning this weekend for I-75 and I-575 in Cobb County:

  • On I-75, one southbound lane will close between SR 120 Loop/South Marietta Parkway and SR 280/Delk Road continuously from 8 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Monday.
  • On I-75, two northbound lanes will close between Windy Hill Road and SR 280/Delk Road from 9 p.m., until 5 a.m., Friday night and Sunday night.
  • On I-575, one northbound lane will close between Barrett Parkway and Bells Ferry Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday. A traffic pace will also take place between Barrett Parkway and Bells Ferry Road from 10 p.m., Friday until 3 a.m., Saturday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
  • On I-575, one southbound lane will close between Barrett Parkway and the I-75 interchange from 8 p.m., until 5 a.m., Friday night and Sunday night.
  • On I-575, one northbound lane will close between Towne Lake Parkway and Ridgewalk Parkway from 9 p.m., until 5 a.m., Friday night and Sunday night.
  • On I-285, one westbound collector-distributer lanes will close between Powers Ferry Road and Cumberland Boulevard from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
