What's Open, Closed Christmas Week 2019 In Kennesaw

Check for Kennesaw services and offices that are already closed or closing early this week for Christmas.

KENNESAW, GA — Most services will be closed on Christmas, but Kennesaw residents should also be aware of closures on surrounding days like Christmas Eve.

Here's a look at some of what will be open and what will be closed in Kennesaw on and around Monday, Dec. 23, Tuesday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and Wednesday, Dec. 25:

  • Cobb County offices and courts will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
  • Kennesaw City Hall will be closed beginning at noon on Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 25.
  • Emergency services remain available.
  • There will be no trash/recycle pickup on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Collection routes will be picked up one day later beginning Thursday, Dec. 26 (Thursday routes on Friday, Friday routes on Saturday, etc).
  • For specific holiday hours at the Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History or Smith-Gilbert Gardens, contact the Museum or Gardens directly.
  • Cobb County Schools are off from Dec. 23 through Jan. 1, 2020. A teacher workday will be Jan. 2, 2020, and a District Professional Learning Day on Jan. 3, 2020. Students return Jan. 6, 2020.
  • All Cobb County libraries will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
  • Christmas is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Dec. 26.
  • All banks are closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
  • Publix: All stores open at regular hours and close at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores and pharmacies will be closed on Christmas day. Store hours may vary. Locate a store near you for specific store hours.
  • Kroger: All stores are open regular hours on Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed on Christmas day. Contact stores for pharmacy hours.
