EVELYN L. WHITE v. WHISTLE STOP CAFÉ

Slowly making its way through the Cobb County (Georgia) Superior Court is the case of Evelyn L. White v.Barbara Burell Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Whistle Stop Café. (Kennesaw)

In a 3 page complaint Ms. White complained of a booth having collapsed causing injuries to her of over $10,000. This is Case 16-1-6599-56 filed by Cartersville Lawyer Thomas Hough 8/19/16.

As is usual in such filings the matter was referred to Alternative Dispute Resolution for a case evaluation or mediation. Referred on 10/10/16 with a time extension until 3/17/17.

Probably the matter will settle and some payments will be made to White and her lawyer. I would keep you updated on it but usually settlements are done on a confidential basis so we will never know how much Ms. White gets.

The moral of the story is: “Eat at IHOP”, their booths don’t collapse and they are just 200 ft across the parking lot.
