Woman Killed in Crash on Kennesaw Interstate

KENNESAW, GA -- A woman was killed early Saturday morning after her vehicle struck a guardrail on I-75 at Barrett Parkway.

Police say the woman, whose name has not been released, was driving a black 2002 Ford Expedition northbound on the interstate around 3 am.

"The driver abruptly steered her vehicle to the left causing it to cross all northbound lanes and strike a guardrail in the center median," according to police. "As a result of striking the guardrail, the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its roof in the northbound lanes of travel."

The woman was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
