Woman Wins $100,000 at Kennesaw Publix
A Kennesaw local bought and played a scratch lotto ticket at the grocery store and left with a hefty prize.

A Kennesaw woman is $100,000 richer after playing a Golden Ticket instant scratch lotto game at her local Publix today.
Addie Williams, 72, bought and played the winning ticket at the Kennesaw on North Cobb Parkway, according to a press release from the Georgia Lottery.
“I guess I was shaking,” said Williams. “I didn’t want to make a scene.”

The retired real estate office worker said she plans to “pay off some bills and save a little bit.”
Playing the Golden Ticket game involves scratching off the play area and matching the numbers to any of the three golden numbers to win the corresponding prizes.

Williams won the maximum $100,000 jackpot, a nice return considering the ticket only cost $3.
Created in November 1992, the Georgia Lottery has returned more than $12 billion to the state of Georgia.
