AGL Resources is hiring a meter reader for the Lawrenceville area. This employee will be responsible for recording gas consumption data from residential, industrial and commercial customers using electronic remote reading devices mounted in a company vehicle and reporting data for Marketers to use for customer billing.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and one to two years of meter reading experience or an equivalent academic education and experience. Applicants with ERT and ENSCAN training are preferred. A state driver’s license and passage of a company driving test are required.
Upon hiring, employees will sit and drive for extended periods, stooping, bending, crawling, walking , climbing ladders and lifting 20 pounds unassisted will be required. Employees will work in various weather conditions.
