As an educator with 16+ years of experience in the US and abroad, and as a parent, I have always been keen to find a high-quality tutoring center for my own children, with the goal of improving their academic skills and concentration, and to prepare them for the SAT/ACT tests as well as higher level education.  Significant research indicated a dearth of such services within the Sugar Hill, Cumming, Buford and Suwanee area, which led to the opening of The Tutoring Center in Sugar Hill, GA (a franchise of The Tutoring Center).

At The Tutoring Center we offer programs in Reading, Writing, Math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, PSAT/SAT/ACT test preparation, and more, to children from Kindergarten to the 12th grade.  We also offer a Study Skills and various enrichment programs for children who have good academic skills but who may not be meeting their full potential due to inadequately developed study habits, the inability to complete homework, difficulty with note taking and organization, or are simply having trouble approaching ‘how’ to best study and/or prepare for tests.  We additionally offer an Online Homework Help service for those students having difficulty with home-work problems in Math and Science.  Every individualized tutoring program is preceded by a comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment (at no charge), and students are frequently tested to ensure program materials and instruction are effective.  All students receive One-to-One instruction by highly qualified and trained instructors who are carefully selected for not just their teaching abilities but also their passion for imparting a strong education to every student.

The methods we use grew out of significant research done by our founder, Dr. Edward Thalheimer, Ph.D., in educational psychology and learning methods, who was concerned with ensuring that children with learning disabilities achieve high academic standards.  He developed the “One-to-One InstructionTM” and "The Rotational Approach to Learning™" methods to provide solutions to help children develop skills that would last a life time, and which would increase their concentration, attention span and focus as well as improve their academic skills, confidence and motivation.  His research conclusively proved that these methods would also help children without learning disabilities develop at similar levels, and that these skills would last a life-time.

For more information on our programs, please refer to our website at: www.tutoringcenter.com, call us at 770-926-9475, or stop by.  We are conveniently located at: 5965 Cumming Highway, Suite 710, Sugar Hill, GA 30518, in The Market Place at Sugar Hill mall, located at the intersection of GA-20 (Cumming Highway) and Suwanee Dam Road (adjacent to Kroger).
