'Bring One For the Chipper' Recycling Event Postponed
Winter weather has pushed Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful's Christmas tree event back a week.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful’s “Bring One For the Chipper” event has been postponed a week due to winter weather expected to hit the area.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, the event now will be held next Saturday, January 30, the group announced on its website.
“For everyone’s safety with the winter storm due to drop 1.5″ of snow on Friday night, we are rescheduling the event for the following Saturday,” the post reads. “This will be the same time and place.”

Community volunteers will be chipping Christmas trees from 9 a.m.-noon that day. Mulch from the chipper will be used at Gwinnett government buildings and parks.
The event will be held at Bethesda Park at 225 Bethesda Church Road in Lawrenceville, and is being billed as the largest tree-recycling event in Georgia.
