βMy son was in uniform in the morning. He is in a casket now. My son was my dream. My dream has been killed.β These are the words of a father in agony.
Can you imagine getting up early in the morning, making breakfast for your child, and dropping them off to school only to come back and find their dead body? Over a hundred parents are mourning over the loss of their children. In the northwestern Pakistan city of Peshawar, the Taliban stormed a school recently, killing about 145 including children. Young children with dreams to become someone one day have all been shattered. Now, all that is left is bloodshed and dead bodies of innocent children who were sacrificed for no wrongdoing.
Surely, education is our only weapon against these heavily armed cowards. May God give strength to the grieving parents. This canβt go on. Terrorism must end.
