Greater Gwinnett Rose Society May meeting

The Greater Gwinnett Rose Society’s topic for the  May 3rd meeting will consist of two PowerPoint presentations from the American Rose Society led by Nancy Miller, CR.

The first will be Rose Hybridizing for the Beginner created by Judith Singer.  This is a wonderful step-by-step instruction on how to create your own very special roses.  Judith demonstrates this technique with such clarity in both picture and written instruction.

The second presentation is called A Salute to the American Spirit created by Diane Schrift.  We will look at the amazing roses named in honor of significant people and events that have affected Americans over time such as the roses “Memorial Day” and “Firefighter”.  You will be familiar with some of the old tried and true and delighted by some of the newer roses dedicated to honor our courageous men and women who have served and/or sacrificed in some way for our country.
