On Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. the Gwinnett County Dept. of Water Resources will host an open house at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville.
This open house will allow property owners and individuals living in northern unincorporated Gwinnett County or near the 100-year floodplain to view new maps and reports on flooding potentials and insurance risks.
Maps of flood-prone areas have recently been updated by the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Environmental Protection Division and FEMA. Representatives from these departments will be available to answer the public's questions.
