Ever Popular Soul Line Dancing Classes are coming to Centerville Community Center .

Snellville, Centerville, Lawrenceville and, Grayson residents can learn how to dance or brush up on their steps with GC Soul Line Dance.

There’s no need to sit out, sit back and just watch everyone else have fun anymore.

GC Soul Line Dance is offering a six-week beginning to low intermediate class in Line Dancing Saturdays, Oct. 17 through Nov. 21, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Centerville Community Center in Snellville, just off Highway 124 on Bethany Church Road. There is a $42 fee for the six-week session.

“Line dancing is low impact, easy to learn, builds confidence and dance savvy. Come have fun and meet new people.” said instructor Wanda Wilks.

The dances are broken down into learnable steps that are variations of left-right, forward-back combos, with kicks, and hip swivels sprinkled through.

The beauty of line dancing is you don’t need a partner, but you aren’t alone. Instead, you’re moving in sync with an entire dance floor. Talk about community!

Soul line dancing has its roots in R&B music but instructor Wanda Wilks said she “likes to incorporate music from all genres including Zydeco, POP, Hip Hop & Contemporary Country”. Adults of all ages are welcome.
